In 2025, the College of Central Florida received a generous $550,215 estate gift made by the donor gifting a large percentage of their property to the CF Foundation in their will. That gift will create a lasting scholarship fund, providing life-changing opportunities for generations of our students. The newly established Georgia F. Guin Memorial Scholarship will support students pursuing their academic goals at CF, helping to ease financial barriers and open doors to higher education.
"The impact of this gift will be felt for generations," said Chris Knife, CEO of the CF Foundation and VP of Advancement at the College of Central Florida. "It is a wonderful reminder that giving through an estate is one of the most powerful and lasting ways to leave a legacy."
Planned gifts, such as bequests through an estate, offer donors a simple and meaningful way to make a lasting difference. By including the College of Central Florida Foundation in their will or trust, donors can ensure their values and commitment to education live on well beyond their lifetime. Estate gifts are flexible and accessible to individuals at all levels of giving, allowing donors to provide for their loved ones while also making a profound investment in the future of students and the community.
